Daily Routine

9:00 am School opens. Light snack provided. Montessori work time.

10:40 am Clean-up and Circle time.

During circle time we sing days of the week, months of the year song. We do date and day, weather of the day. We sing poems, continent and planet songs. We have a new presentation every day.

11:00 am Weather permitting outside play activities include  going on walks, field trips or remaining at the daycare outdoor play area.

12:00 pm Lunch.

12:30 pm Clean-up from lunch.

12:45 pm Resting, self-reading, or napping time.

1:00 pm Montessori work time.

3:15 pm Montessori school closes. Early release on Wednesday.

3:00 pm to 5:45 pm After Care. Nutritious snack provided.

4:00 pm Homework time for school aged children.

4:30 pm Outside Play in yard until school closes if weather permits.

5:45 pm School closes – Children must be picked up by 5:45 pm or late charges will apply (more details in parent handbook).

This schedule is very flexible and is adjusted according to the child’s needs and interests. For example, if a child is engaged in art or other activity when snack is served, they may finish their activity before being served with the snack. Another scenario is if the classroom is engaged during scheduled “circle time” the circle time will just be pushed back to a later time so that the students may fully engage in the current activity until it is completed because the number one goal is learning.
